'That Crystal Site' was developed out of a life times hobby. “I love rocks” that’s what our T-shirts say. Why rocks – well, minerals and crystals? I couldn’t tell you specifically. I can supply you with many reasons: I have collected them since I was 5, my first rock was a huge chunk of boulder opal that I still have (that’s why I call them rocks). I used to sit with it and watch the colours change for hours. How did they get in there, Why did they change?

My journey begins

I joined a lapidary club when I was around 7, with my mum and we would go and look at the ‘pretty’ pieces that sparkled and were so amazing. I used to look at them and be amazed that things so beautiful could come from the darkness, under ground. How did anyone know they were there? How did you find them? I would dig in my garden – mostly to no avail – except when my mum would hide some tumbled stones for me to find, then how happy was I!

I went through school always searching for new crystals for my collection – I had about 200 pieces. Most of my school geography was given meaning to because of my rock collection. The specimens had traveled along way to reach Australia and the world looked pretty big then.

Crystals from all over the world

By the time I was 23, I ventured overseas and saw the places that gave the world special meaning to me. I went everywhere from Poona in India to the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. I traveled the Middle East, Africa, Europe, UK, Russia, Asia, America, Canada, Central America and South America.

It took me 4 years to get tired of living out of a bag and posting all my special purchases home. I ventured back home and settled down into life, family, friends and back to my hobby. I met many people on my travels, who explained to me the metaphysical properties of crystals. I knew nothing of these, but when I returned to Australia I reviewed my collection and when I had purchased the pieces I had and roughly where I was in my life.

Crystals for everyone

To my amazement, beyond my conscious choice making, I had always intuitively picked the right stone for me. I chose stones that I energetically needed, to help me emotionally, mentally and physically. This fascinates me and humbles me.

My wish is for people to be in contact with these beings for their benefit. It brings me great pleasure when people make contact with a crystal, because even if they don’t know why they like something, it means that somewhere, on some level, someone is looking out for them. This is fills me with the peace of god and warms my heart.

Many years have passed though it seems like yesterday. Today it is my great joy to share with you my journey, my passion and many babies!
