AQUAMARINE – GO WITH THE FLOW
Aquamarine Metaphysical Properties and its Healing Meaning
Aquamarine is the stone you reach for when you want to get in the zone, to do something new and go places you haven’t gone before.
It helps you to attune to your more spiritual nature, connecting more easily with your higher self and bring in new awareness from a place of connection to your soul and higher realms. If you are a person who is easily affected by the energy of others Aquamarine provides a shield for your aura and your subtle bodies so you don’t get impacted by life as much. It provides clarity and spaciousness that allows us to step back from the chaos and find our centre.
It also provides you with emotional and intellectual stability, it has a cleansing effect on the subtle bodies, like taking a swim in the ocean; everything just falls away.
Aquamarine is quite energised and enables you to travel deep within your Self for new awareness and then take practical action. It is about the path of least resistance, going with the flow and allowing.

Aquamarine is the blue variety of beryl and it’s the presence of Fe2+ that makes it go blue, if you mix in a little extra Fe3+ you get the darker blue variety of aquamarine. Of course its original name is derived from ‘water’.
Usually it is prized for its clarity but also appears in a milky or cloudy form, usually saved for tumbled stones. Rarely, it has traces of foreign minerals which create a hovering line or cat’s eye effect affect (asterism) to form across the stone. When you roll it in the light the line moves across its surface.
Aquamarine is super glassy, it has an amazing lustre when polished, one of its most notable qualities.
Most low grade Aquamarine is heat treated at temperatures of 400c+ to remove its natural greenish hue and enhance its blue tones. The darker the crystal the more likely it has been treated.
Warning: Aquamarine fades in sunlight, so don’t leave it out for extended periods of time for cleansing.
