I just had a question in the open forum to do with insomnia… Not wanting to be too forward, but when someone says, Insomnia started 20 years ago… my first response is – what happened that got you so worked up you couldn’t sleep?
It’s always good to get to the cause of something, but she wanted to know about working with grids to help her sleep. Working with grids can assist by amplifying energy of the intention set out by the creator of the grid.
I just did a healing on someone who hasn’t slept more than 3 hours a night in years. After the session he went home and slept 15 hours straight – a miracle by his standards!
My first suggestion to relieve the problem would be to ground – take the energy out of your head and put it in the ground. The more you do this the more energy you will have to function through the day and help you sleep at night. All stress is due to excess thought which results in being too heady or not grounded.
Crystals to assist with insomnia could be chosen intuitively and will depend largely on why the person can’t sleep, for example – outside influences disturbing them such as noise, mosquitoes, neighbours (who knows – stuff beyond your control), too much thinking and trying to unravel stuff, medication, caffeine, too much TV… the possibilities are endless.
General sleep aids are credited to Amethyst, Nephrite Jade, Howlite and Herkimer Diamonds.
Others such as Aquamarine, Blue Lace Agate, Blue Chalcedony, Blue Topaz or Celestite are also possible sleep aids.
Once the reason is established, so for example my son sleeps with Charoite and Amethyst which is good for fearful dreams, Mangano Calcite also helps with feeling of safety as does Kunzite. Smoky Quartz, Lithium Quartz and Lepidolite take the emotional stuff down a notch if you are grappling with feelings.
For grounding energy and getting it out of your head try Black Tourmaline, Smoky Quartz, Black Quartz or even Pyrite or Hematite.
Obviously getting to the cause makes stone choice vary… but trusting your gut is the best way to go – do a random selection or sit and ask a question and wait for an image or word to flash into your mind – and no doubt it will be perfect!
